Cherry AB has officially acquired the European online casino operator, ComeOn, and will be merging its iGaming portfolio with its newly obtained content. The integration has been scheduled to take place on April 1, 2017, with all Cherry assets being amalgamated to form a new division of ComeOn.

In a recent release, the brand made a statement regarding the recent acquisition, stating that it plans to ‘re-emphasize its operational independence, aligning with other business areas owned and built up by Cherry AB.’

Additionally, the brand’s chief executive, Anders Holmgren, commented, “By clearly branding this business area we are, just as with XCaliber, Game Lounge and Yggdrasil, being even more clear and specific about how we build shareholder value, while supporting and acknowledging the diverse needs of each of our business areas.”

“We are building a business area, merging Cherry iGaming and ComeOn !, with some brands within it and setting a new unified culture and actionable values. We, therefore, wanted to take this opportunity to have a really good think about what name mirrors this the best. After spending some time we weren’t able to point to any brand alternative being on par or better than ComeOn!. It’s simply a great name and perfectly summarises our cultural attitude,” added, ComeOne CEO, Jonas Wåhlander.

Cherry AB is a Sweden-based company, while ComeOn specializes in a vast assortment of casino, lottery, and sports betting games. Its games are offered on Cherry-affiliated sites, including Cherry Casino, EuroLotto, Sunmaker, Svea Casino, and others.
