Back Betsoft Gaming Forms Supergame Partnership, Enters Belgian Market

Betsoft Gaming announced Tuesday it has signed a content partnership agreement with the Supergame casino. The move will see Betsoft extend its European reach “further into Belgium,” according to an official release.

The deal stipulates the integration of “a wide range of Betsoft titles that comply with the Belgian Gaming Commission’s online regulations.” In addition, it is the stepping stone to future integrations, with additional Betsoft content being fine-tuned for the Belgian market.

Supergame’s Product Manager, Manou Coutard, is excited about the deal. He says one can feel that Betsoft is a “very professional company.”

“Our team have been big fans of Betsoft’s games for some time. Their titles are visually stunning, and their 3D art is amongst the very best in the business. But more than that, we were thrilled to find a partner capable of adjusting their content to meet our unique requirements. We are confident that Betsoft will help elevate our casino to the next level,” Coutard says.

Belgian Market “Complex,” but Still Ahead of Time

By fine-tuning, we imply that Supergame holds the B+ license, which means that certain restrictions apply. The B+ licensees can offer slot machine arcades and online games of chance. Betsoft’s Marketing Director, Annamaria Anastasi, explains:

“The Belgian regulated market is complex, with various license tiers that govern the way games can be promoted and played. For Supergame, this meant finding a content partner who is agile and experienced enough to make sensitive adjustments to core mechanics, themes, and features to ensure that their games comply with regulations and resonate with the region’s players.”

In regards to “complexity,” we are not quite convinced. Online gambling in Belgium was legalized in 2011, unlike the case with the majority of other European countries, which have efficaciously banned all online gambling activities. To maintain a desired level of control, however, Belgium’s online casinos must hold a license for brick-and-mortar operations. The number of licenses is limited, which makes it somewhat difficult to get one. I.e., only 180 B licenses may be issued by the Gaming Commission to Belgian operators (presently, all of them have been granted). B licensees may apply for the supplementary B+ license, which allows for offering online games of chance.

Antwerp-Based Giant with Tons of Experience

Supergame was originally an Antwerp-based land-based casino operator, and quite a successful one at that. The business expanded to the iGaming sector upon the regulation of Belgium’s online market in 2013. Ever since, Supergame has been committed to “world-class customer support,” with the casino user experience always in the focus. The casino offers slots (dice slot games, in particular), table games, and video poker.

About Betsoft

Betsoft is a venerable casino games developer, with a portfolio of more than 190 slot titles. What distinguishes the company from the competition are its Expandicon, Slots3, ToGo and SHIFT brands. Probably the most impressive one is Slots3™, which is delineated by “richly vivid, true 3D cinematic graphics and animations” focusing on high-impact and fast gameplay. The ToGo™ collection was launched in 2012, when the brand entered the mobile gaming industry (and was among the first developers to do so).
