Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission is exploring online gambling legalization and the areas with legalized gambling including British Columbia, Ontario, Mantitoba and Quebec.
The commission may opt for legalization based on comments made by Joe Ceci, the provincial government's new Finance Minister.
“AGLC is a significant revenue line for the province (contributing about 5 percent of all government revenues) … and they have come and told me about their hopes and dreams for the future,” Ceci said.
“I don’t stand anywhere yet because I haven’t seen the results of the commission’s consultations with industry providers of online gaming systems.”
Knowledge of modern online gambling and the technologies employed by operators to monitor money laundering and underage/problem gambling will be required.

I agree that that the USA is doing things very backwards and silly. I wish a resolution on gambling laws can be reached across every country . It would be nice.

They need to jump onboard as the rest of the providences have been . I don't see where it should even be in question . Most of Canada supports gambling in all forms and even land based casinos . Add Alberta to the list and move on . The only places I can see this being news or in question would be US states especially where land casino gambling is considered illegal . Which is a whole nother story I find ridiculous , when residents can just drive to another state to gamble anyway.
