I was surprised too that the appointments were made and revealed before the political elections but that only proofs that in the Gambling Commission they don't care about the politicians opinion and that appointments are fair. The board will be from three commissioners so it's better than just one person.

A person is getting quite involved in "gambling" if they are paying attention to who the commissioners are, etc (not a reference to Jade's comment). It's politics! I don't know a darn thing about politics at all...whether it's a specific person or a specific group, what they do, what they want, etc....it's all a great big...
A person is getting quite involved in "gambling" if they are paying attention to who the commissioners are, etc (not a reference to Jade's comment). It's politics! I don't know a darn thing about politics at all...whether it's a specific person or a specific group, what they do, what they want, etc....it's all a great big blur to me, like Charlie Brown's teacher...wah wah wah wah wah wah....I can't hear it or make any sense out of it. I can imagine there's quite a bit of security pressure on this bunch, and similar, world-wide, since the overall world economy has a lot of desperate people in it. It might be interesting to compare how many people feel they have any spending money at all, against how many people are scratching away, but either way - good luck to them. Good luck to anyone involved in trying to make people cheer up and take a bit of an interest, at all.

There was an article recently about the UK delaying the appointment of the new Gambling Commissioner due to their up coming elections. I am surprised to see any appointments announced before the election. I guess they don't feel the same way about these board appointments or they needed these people in place to keep things...
There was an article recently about the UK delaying the appointment of the new Gambling Commissioner due to their up coming elections. I am surprised to see any appointments announced before the election. I guess they don't feel the same way about these board appointments or they needed these people in place to keep things running smoothly. They still have the former commissioner their to handle things in the mean time.
