Sheldon Adelson, owner of the Las Vegas Sands land gambling group, has targeted 35 Asian websites with accusations of trademark and reputational offences filing federal lawsuits in the United States District Court for the District Of Nevada.
It’s being reported that the websites are using the Las Vegas Sands' "world famous" Sands trademark, with "Jinsha" Chinese characters.
Adelson has filed complaints for trademark infringement, false designation of origin, and dilution under the Lanham Act, common law trademark infringement and common law unfair competition. He’s going after injunctive relief, damages and costs.
