According to the WLTX television station, the Democratic Party of South Carolina is seeking opinions from residents regarding legalized online gambling to aid in expenses associated with the state’s road network.
Rather than increasing taxes to accommodate the cost of the $20 billion road and bridge fixing requirement, Democrats are considering the possibilities of gambling project.
State Rep. Todd Rutherford, the House Minority Leader, said that expanding land based gambling could generate hundreds of millions.
