The head of casino games and equipment supplier at Aristocrat, Jamie Odell, spoke to an Australian newspaper regarding his thoughts on remote mobile gambling.
He referred to information from independent Juniper Research, which referred to online gambling in the US, Europe and China and the mobile gambling profits expected to reach more than $100 billion by 2017.
Aristocrat made plans to move forward with the mobile trend. Aristocrat bought Product Madness, one of the most popular US providers of slot games on Facebook followed by the launch of online casino games through nLive range in the US in preparation for legalization.
Odell also discussed the increased cost to produce games as gaming companies applied for licensing to use popular TV shows and movies. He said that Aristocrat budgets $120 million a year on talent, technology and licenses to create games.
