Back Germany Accepts Bitcoin

Bitcoin will be accepted in commercial transactions in Germany after the German Finance Ministry announced that it may be used as a "unit of account" or "private money”.

Bitcin is not being accepted as a legal form of currency; however transactions processed using the virtual coin may be taxed but the tax is eliminated when the "unit of account" has been held for more than one year.

Other countries are not sold on the concept of Bitcoin. For example, Thailand has made Bitcoin illegal.
