A company well-known for its Ongame poker network, Chartwell Technology, Cryptologic and Cadillac Jack, Amaya Gaming, announced hiring Paul Leggett, a former COO at Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet, as a new person in charge of its online operations.
According to the internet message boards and media reports, Leggett is taking over the duties of Ongame managing director Peter Bertilsson, who will continue cooperation with the company as a consultant.
Legget’s name is well-known by the market experts in the wake of the scandals and trials of the parent company Tokwiro Enterprises and successor Blanca Games. Affected
by the enforcement actions in the US on Black Friday, his former employers are alleged to face liquidation.
A statement on the status of licensee Tokwiro-Blanca Games has been published last year by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission saying that a post-Black Friday settlement with the US Justice Department would require the forfeiture of all Blanca assets, adding that the US Marshal's office would be in charge of liquidating the mentioned assets.
Yet the regulator warned that "there will be no distribution of the net proceeds from the liquidation pending the resolution of claims filed by other parties who have asserted an ownership interest in Blanca's assets”.
