An announcement came this week that the Malta Lottery and Gaming Authority (LGA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on bilateral cooperation with the Jersey Gambling Commission.
The MoU apparently includes a whole range of topics, among which are the jurisdictions’ plans to develop a set of common responsible gaming measures, improve consumer and player protection measures, apply common regulatory best practices, enter employee exchange programmes and work on the structuring of joint certification standards.
In addition, it has been specified that the MoU also formally enables the two jurisdictions to collaborate in the exchange of information and investigative assistance of providers and remote gaming services, as well as on cloud regulation, recognition of financial institutions located in the jurisdictions used for gaming transactions, recognition of national certification bodies and player liquidity.
