Online sports betting licenses for five operators in the latest issue
The latest batch of companies to receive remote gambling licenses from the Belgian Gaming Commission includes online gambling group Unibet which scored an internet sports betting licence
New licensees to the Belgian market are also Blitz NV, which will operate an online gambling site branded Blitz.be, and Pavaber SA, which will run a site branded Mirage Games.be.
At the same time, the positive licensing news were overshadowed by the notification that five new companies have been added to its notorious blacklist, and will be susbequently blocked from Belgian punters.
The new blacklist additions include 2.bwin believed to be a workaround on that company's original blocked url and the some of the major British internet gambling companies, bet365; SJ Bet; Maasland Games; and 7Red.
