Back Big Deal for Online Payment Processor

Bigpoint and Mazooma enter a deal

An announcement came this week that Bigpoint, a worldwide provider of online games with more than 261 million registered users, has closed a deal with a popular Canadian online payment processor Mazooma, thanks to which Bigpoint’s players in the United States will be able to use Mazooma’s instant online bank transfer service to purchase virtual credits.

On the other side, Mazooma could see significant benefit from such a deal if online gambling becomes legalized in the States.

On behalf of Bigpoint, Linus Menden said: “The use of online bank transfers is pervasive in Europe, where we are headquartered, so we are pleased with the opportunity to partner with Mazooma to offer a similar option in the U.S. market.

“Mazooma is the only vendor in the U.S. that offers real-time bank transfers, which allows us to continue delivering the best online experience to our community.”

On the other side, Wilson Lee, president of Mazooma, specified: “Our online bank transfer solution was designed to fill a void in the U.S. market for companies like Bigpoint, and is a cost-effective micropayment processing alternative to credit cards.”

It’s worth noting that Mazooma’s payment network supports 15 of the largest U.S. banks and provides merchants with broad consumer access to over 55 million American households that actively use online banking.

In case of Bigpoint’s users, the system will be quite simple – all they need to do is choose Mazooma’s “Pay with Online Banking” option in Bigpoint’s payment system, and they’ll be able to access it via their smartphones, tablets and laptops.
