First slot on Rapid Game Deployment platform
It was announced by a Canadian games developer Chartwell Technology Inc. that it has deployed the first slot on its Rapid Game Deployment (RGD) platform. The slot titled "Serengeti Diamonds” is an African-themed, 25-line slot, which features a double action bonus round and a Scatter bonus with a pick-a-prize game, in which players can get up to 10 free spins and up to an 8x multiplier.
This is the second game on the platform, the first one being Ultimate Texas Hold'em.
Accorting to VP Software Development of Chartwell, Clinton Begin, "This new technology is the latest step in Chartwell's strategic plan to continue to focus on its exciting online casino offering and increase the volume of game output throughout 2011 and beyond. RGD can integrate directly with the Chartwell Games Platform and top third-party game content, thus positioning Chartwell to take a leading role in providing Platform as a Service solutions to the iGaming industry."
In addition to the announcement about new games, it was reported from the company that its CEO Dan Phillips is leaving the company to "pursue other opportunities on the operations side of the iGaming industry".
