The deal to be completed
The merger between PartyGaming and Bwin this week received an order of the Supreme Court of Gibraltar, which sanctions the merger, entering into force on 31 March 2011.
Prior to this, Bwin announced “that the merger had formally been entered into the companies’ registry in Vienna, Austria by the Vienna Commercial Court,” that it received the approval of the PartyGaming and bwin shareholders on 28 January 2011 and the approval of various national anti-trust and gaming regulatory authorities.
However, thanks to the fact that no outstanding requirements are to be fulfilled for the merger to be completed, the finalization of the deal will be conducted at the end of March 2011, so from then on, the Company's name will officially change to bwin.party digital entertainment plc.
