The intrastate legalization of online gambling comes up for debate on Jan. 10
Jan. 10 turned out to be crunch time for New Jersey, as the bill seeking to legalise intrastate e-gambling, sponsored by state Senator Ray Lesniak, was due to go before the state Assembly on what is hoped will be its last lap before the governor's signature into law.
Prior to this, A2570 has already passed through the committee stages and the state senate, but it then ran into a delay in the process, since the bill was meant to go before the House on January 6th, but turned out to be omitted from the schedule.
However, with the House debate now on its way, the outcome will be closely observed, as it could herald the first US state to legalize online gambling.
