How to Play Hi-Lo
Hi-Lo is fantastically easy to play: all the gambler has to do is predict whether the next card to fall will be higher or lower than the previous one.
The payouts depend on which card is up: the longer the odds, the higher the payout. For example, betting high on a jack means a relatively high payout with a win (since only three cards will win), while a low bet will offer a lower one.
It’s also possible to bet for the same card to land again – this is called snap bet, and it pays 12:1.
There are also side bets available. They pay as follows:
- Black pays 1.92:1
- Red pays 1.92:1
- J, Q, K, or A pays 2.89:1
- 6, 7, 8, or 9 pays 2.89:1
- 2, 3, 4, or 5 pays 2.89:1
- Ace pays 11.56:1
- Ace or King pays 5.78:1
