There have been plenty of music slots inspired by this or that artist or style. The first game to really stand on its own was probably NetEnt’s Jimi Hendrix. So where does Wild Inferno stand then? Clearly inspired by metal music, but also paying more attention to gameplay features and slotplay in general. Read below to find out, or jump straight in with the demo version to find out for yourself.
Theme
Heavy metal blares from the speakers with the crowd going wild over and over again. Drum and guitar solos fill the air time and time after again. There’s no clear author here, instead of that the game draws inspiration from the genre itself. And it does so very successfully. The rest of the theme is there to support the feeling, what with the bouncing audience and bright stage lights. The theme is not very complicated but it is complete.
There seems to be a backstory here as well, though you might miss it if you don’t read the small print.
Betting Options and Functions
Jumping into the game is easy, even if the reels look a bit intimidating at first. The game offers five reels with four symbols each. Through these go 25 paylines, which is a bit low number for such a reel setup. On the other hand, this makes the bet level rather low as well. As said, it’s easy to get into it and start spinning.
There are nine standard symbols, with a wild and scatter added to the mix. The basic symbols pay out for three to five symbol combos. The lowest your line bet is going to return is five times the bet, whereas the highest single five symbol combo will return 500 times the line bet. Variance is high.
Features
Stacked wilds have a chance of nudging into position whenever they show up, filling the whole reel. The icon will show up on the second, third and fourth reels only. It doesn’t end there: with one stacked wild you will receive a multiplier of two for all wins. Each additional reel will increase the multiplier, which goes as high as five.
The free spins symbol will trigger the bonus games. Five symbols are needed to receive five games. Any stacked wild that shows up during these spins will stay on the reels for the duration of the feature(and will also always nudge into place). There is also a +1 spin symbol, which as you can guess, awards one extra spin.
Our Take
It’s not a music slot in the sense as some others are nor is it quite a slot inspired by some artist or another. Instead, this PG Soft slot takes influence from both of these themes and makes the best of it. The game is enjoyable and with the special features, it also manages to offer some nice prizes. Enjoy the game!
