Theme and Symbols

The background is very elaborate, with scores and scores of wheels turning around, spinning time forth, backwards and in all other directions. On the reels, or what constitutes reels in this game, you will find numbers instead of symbols. The meaning of these is evident as we get to the basics of the gameplay. Mystical music and gearwork sounds fill the airwaves. Certainly, you will feel that it is the Wheel of Time you are witnessing here.

Betting Options and Functions

Forget about reels and paylines. Like we said, this is a wheel of fortune and it functions like one. This means that you’ll find several nested wheels. The only way to move between these is to hit the right spot, which then puts the next wheel in motion….and so on.

As there are no paylines, there is no need to divide the bet amongst different lines. This obviously also has an effect on the wins. You’re still free to bet as much, or as little as you like.

There’s a total of three different wheels. The top prize from the first one is just 1.5 times your bet. On the second one, it’s 7 times your bet. Finally, the third one offers up to 100 times your bet. There are other smaller wins, as well as a few that return only a portion of your bet… and some positions that will result in no wins at all.

Features

Wheel of Time comes with a bonus feature that you’ll find on one side of the playing area. A collection of stones, which light up as you collect wins. Not just any wins, they need to be the ones that are marked with stones. These stones are scattered across each wheel, but this doesn’t really matter as each of them will fill the same progress bar.

This progress is tied to your bet level, so get that one right from the start!

The feature itself is very simple. Once all the stones have lit up, a simple screen with an animation shows up and determines how much you won. There are plenty of options between 5 and 100 times your bet.

Our Take

Wheel of Time is certainly an interesting alternative to the traditional Wheel of Fortune games. It’s not as complex as slot games and doesn’t offer the possibility of jackpot-like wins. But the betting is rather easy, the wins hit pretty often, and you can still score a hundred times your bet.  You might want to spin the wheel a few times in demo mode before deciding for yourself.
