Is The Theme Heavy Enough?

This slot features a 6x6 grid with cluster pays with cascading reels (read here) causing symbols to form winning combinations to disappear and new icons to take their places. 

The visuals are not as hardcore as you would expect from such a branded title, although they include all band members as pay symbols on a square grid framed with bare-bones similar to those used for the band icon. 

The background consists of amplifiers on both sides of the reels along with a large guitar on the left-side that will light up when you score a win with any of the band members to then trigger one of three modifiers. 

A stage speaker is used as a display on the right to keep you informed with the latest winning clusters.

The Angry Dad is not missing either as he will be responsible for the main event.

Plus, naturally, some of the hits from the 1984 Stay Hungry album are blaring from the speakers, including I Wanna Rock and We’re Not Gonna Take It.

Symbols include cool band merch such as a guitar pick, an LP, Twister Sister badge and a record sleeve.

You will also see the Twisted Sister band members as symbols. These include Dee Snider (the lead singer), Jay Jay French, Eddie “Fingers” Ojeda, Mark “The Animal” Mendoza and Anthony “A. J.” Pero.

What About Betting Options?

Twisted Sister is a branded grid slot in a 6x6 format and using a Cluster Pays engine, winning formations are created by getting 5 or more matching symbols in a cluster, either vertically or horizontally.

You can play this game from 10p a spin to £100 per spin, and as you’d expect, there’s an Auto Play function where you can spin the reels automatically up to 100 times.

Contrary to most Play ‘n GO releases, Twisted Sister is a medium variance slot and classified by them at 6/10 on the volatility scale with the RTP of 96.2%.

The latter is a character played by actor Mark Metcalf in the band’s videos.

Are The Special Features Hardcore?

The feature part for this rock-themed release should be started with the Guitar Meter positioned on the left-hand side of the reels.

Every time a band member appears in a winning combo, it increases by 1+, and the maximum amount of charges the meter can hold is 15.

You trigger one feature every time you add 5 charges to the meter, while the game randomly selects one symbol to benefit from the given bonus.

Each modifier offers the following rewards:

• Go Wild – Turns chosen symbols into wilds
• Scream – Blows up all low-paying symbols around the selected icon
• Unite – Transforms symbols into the chosen symbols

This game also features an Angry Dad Meter, featuring the same guy that appears in the video of the song “We’re Not Gonna Take It“. 

The meter has four levels. Every time the Angry Dad Wild scatter pitches in a winning combo, it fills up each level.

Once the Meter is full, you’ll trigger the We’re Not Gonna Take It feature!

For every Angry Dad scatter that appears, it increases the win multiplier by 1+. All the symbols disappear from the grid, and a 2×2 Mega Band symbol tries to remove the Angry Dad symbols from the reels. 

Not bad at all!

What Is Our Conclusion?

Play’n GO has done a tremendous job in capturing the band’s eccentricities with a bright colour scheme and symbols that depict the members of Twisted Sister.

Though the 4,500x maximum win may not excite you, the game includes a couple of the group’s iconic songs and also features every band member, which is pretty nice. 

The two meters also form the basis for interesting bonus schemes. You’ll trigger one of three features through the Guitar Charge Meter and another through the Angry Dad Meter.

The developer really seems to be making its way through the entire genre of rock, and we’re really looking forward to seeing what’s next.
