Musical slots have been on the highlight ever since Net Entertainment brought in their own line of big names. Triple Cherry doesn’t go that deep into making music, instead presenting a bit more generic take on the rock-scene in the form of Thunder Rock slot.

The execution of the slot is pretty spot-on, something you’ll agree with as soon as you land your first win on the reels. Theme and Symbols

You’ve made your way to the concert and gotten a pretty good spot in front of the stage. Plenty of other fans around, and a good view on the band too. The colour scheme and animations set the mood pretty well, and the symbols you’ll find on the reels are classics...not for slots, but for rock! The music and sound effects are perfect, playing out solos every time you score a win, and keeping a nice rhythm every time the reels roll.

Betting Options and Functions

There are 25 paylines, though they are called prize lines in the game. Same thing, different name. The five reels each have three symbols. As mentioned before the variance is set between medium and high, trending more towards the medium.

Now that we’ve gotten the basics out of the way let’s take a look at the prizes. The minimum you’re going to get is three times the line bet, which is not going to cover a significant part of your bet. The highest win from the normal symbols goes up to 400 times the line bet. Better, but still not all that high. 

What about special features?

Features

The wins immediately go up a bit. Three wilds will pay 60 times the line bet, four will pay 300 times the line bet and finally, five wilds will net you 1000 times the line bet.

At the top of the reels you’ll find a row of lamps. These light up every time you score a win of at least four symbols. This results in a respin, and if more four symbol wins land the same repeats. As you progress through the row, you’ll unblock the blocking wilds special. This is pretty much the same as sticky wilds, and you can have up to three of them, and up to six respins.

Three contract symbols are needed to get to the signing contracts part. Pick three contracts at random, and you’ll receive a random number of bonus spins. There’s nothing too special at play here, but you can have up to 30 bonus spins this way.

Our Take

Triple Cherry’s Thunder Rock is a worthy try at creating a generic rock slot. Unfortunately, there are other music slots that do both the music and features better and come with a higher RTP. That’s not to say you couldn’t spend a few enjoyable spins with this theme and these rocking rhythms.
