At this point I am starting to wonder if all GamingSoft games come with a jackpot, it certainly seems to be the way. Apart from that this game also presents plenty of other action. Taj Mahal is the obvious source of the theme, though what that actually translates to is up for a guess. The first look reveals quite a normal slot, with a bit of added music and some worthwhile pots to chase. Read on to find what a deeper look will find.

Theme

The Taj Mahal, in all of its painted glory, stretches from one side of the screen to the other. In the reels, you will find all sorts of connected symbols, though these seem to have more to do with India in general, rather than the subject of Taj Mahal. The same applies to music and sound effects, with mostly Bollywood tunes coming out of the speaker. There is not really all that much in terms of animations or other added entertainment here, leaving most of the actual entertainment on the gameplay itself.

Betting Options and Functions

The traditional five times three reel setup is combined with 243 ways to win. The latter simply requires all symbol combinations to continue from the leftmost reel to the right, with a minimum of three symbols needed in order to claim a win. Betting is done by simply selecting your desired bet for each spin.

The basic wins here are a bit low, perhaps due to the jackpot features. Landing three playing cards might pay back as little as fourth of your bet. Five aces, on the other hand, simply returns two and a half times your bet. The situation improves with the high-value symbols, but not considerably. The maximum win from a single five symbol combination is 25 times the total bet. Clearly, it’s the special features that are supposed to be making you the big bucks.

Features

The jackpot feature works pretty much the same as all other GamingSoft jackpots. Landing three symbols will give you a turn at the bonus wheel, which in turn will determine which one of the four jackpots you win. Do remember that the level of your bet directly affects the percentage of that jackpot that you can claim.

The scatter lands a win of twenty times your bet, and also launched the free spins. Eight, ten, or fifteen spins are awarded, depending on how many symbols you land. The free spins can be retriggered, with any additional ones added to the running counter.

Our Take

The Majestic Taj might be worth trying in demo mode just in case it really offers something you like. The game itself offers quite good quality, with the problem mainly being in the fact that it doesn’t really offer anything new or exciting. The same jackpots are found in all other titles from the same producer. Definitely try in demo mode first.
