Superheroes are all the rage at the moment, and given how Hollywood is milking this cash cow will remain so for quite some time. It is no surprise then that the theme has made its way into the world of slots. In fact, the theme used to be a lot more popular before, but due to licensing issues, the trend faded somewhat. Push Gaming is doing their part to revitalise the subject, and they seem to be doing a pretty good job at it.

Theme

The purpose here is to help the mightiest heroes Earth has to defeat a bunch of threats. What and who that threat is remains a mystery, but at least you get to put the team together and play some wild spins. Action is guaranteed and the music alone will put into action mode, and the symbols will keep you going until the objective is achieved. On the background, you’ll find a command center, from which the action branches out to the reels.

Betting Options and Functions

The betting system is the same as in pretty much all other Push Gaming games. They do great graphics and themes, but perhaps they should pay a bit more attention to the mathematical side of things as well. The reel setup is the standard five times three, with 25 paylines stretching from left to right.

The main wins are to be found in the jackpots, but that doesn’t mean the reels are empty from base wins. The card values from jack to ace pay out between two and 10 times your line bet. The different heroes in turn pay between ten and 200 times your line bet. Not exactly superb wins, but they return enough to keep you spinning for the special features.

Features

To help with the smallish wins you can land super symbols. These are three times three combinations of specific symbols that show up as one big symbol on the reels. The bonus symbol works in a bit similar fashion. The goal is to land the super symbol, but you will gain free spins for landing just one of the bonus symbols as well.

For each position the bonus symbols show up in you can land one to three free spins or super free spins. No surprise that superheroes tend to team up with superspins. That is to say that the low-value symbols are removed for the whole duration of the feature. When the super spins come into play the symbols are further culled, leaving only the most valuable ones.

During any basic spin, you can land two different jackpot symbols. Three of each, gold and silver, are needed to claim one of the two jackpots. These go into thousands, tens of thousands and even hundreds of thousands of coins. Completely up to luck of course.
