The aliens built the pyramids and the pharaohs took the credit, or so some would have you believe. However, as we all know this is a slot and it’s the player who gets to collect the credits. Otherworldly sound effect accompanies your spins, which happen on the normal five times three reel setup. At first look, the game looks quite well done, and the RTP seems to be high enough for it to be worth playing. Is it polished enough though to warrant more than a few spins?

Theme

Night covers the pyramids in the background, with the occasional animated alien visiting the screen from time to time. Ancient Egypt is quite a familiar theme in slots, and adding aliens to the mix makes it no less familiar. The symbols feature Cleopatra, Anubis, visitors from outer space and other icons fitting the theme. Sound effects are a mix of these as well, with music, unfortunately, missing from the mix.

Betting Options and Functions

You can choose from one, three, five or ten paylines. The range of bets runs from 0.01 to 5 coin per line. Total bet can be anything between 0.01 to 50 coins. The selectors for bets and lines can be found on the sidelines, right and left respectively. You can also simply change the total bet with one button.

Amount of winlines in use affect the scatter wins, with the rest of the symbols connecting normally from left to right through the five reels. Some symbols form a win with only two symbols, but most require at least three, with five paying out the most. You can win from two times to up 9000 times your bet. Wilds and scatters pay out the most.

Features

Any line win can be doubled with the card gamble, which offers the normal 50 - 50 chance of winning or losing.

Three or more scatters starts the free spins. Fifteen are awarded and they are played with a triple multiplier. The free spins use an alternate set of reels, though it is not quite clear how this affects the gameplay. The free spins are played with the same bet as the spin that triggered them.

Wilds and scatters cannot appear on the same reels. Only one wild can appear per reel, though when they do so and add to a winning combination they double the prize.

Our Take

Pharaohs and Aliens is one of the first games from Bee Fee games. Their laters slots offer much of the same functions, though with different themes. There is nothing wrong with this slot, and it might offer fun for a few good spins. Unfortunately, it lacks staying power. The company has other games with even better animations, music, and features. Only the wins seem to be in a league of their own, but you might want to try with free money first to see if this slot offers the fun you’re looking for.
