Penguin Splash

Penguin Splash is a 25 line video slot set in the antarctic; hence the abundance of penguins shown in and around the reels. The slot was built by Rabcat for a 2014 release and has proven popular so far. But let’s take a closer look before casting judgement.

Penguin Splash Theme

Penguin Splash uses a familiar 5x3 reel icon layout but in an unfamiliar position on the right hand side. This leaves room on the left flank for several animated Emperor Penguins, that scan the horizon, style their hair and more. This provides some added entertainment aside from that shown on the reels.

The actual reel area includes a whole host of antarctic themed characters. These include walruses, seals, penguins and more. You can also hear the playful splashes of water and animal sounds in the background. The designers have also included the classic symbols of 9, 10, J, Q, K and A.

Betting Options and More Functions

You can only use a single coin per line, but that doesn’t reduce the number of betting options because bets between 0.01 to $50 can be chosen. This means players, whether they be looking for fun or higher risks, can choose a bet ideal for their needs.

Rabcat have also included labour saving functions such as automatic spins and many ways to personalise gameplay (you can use full screen, change sounds etc).

The fish, which is probably an antarctic silver fish, is the wild logo. This can count as any other icon except the scattered emperor penguin.

Three or more emperor penguin logos will trigger the free spins feature. You could win up to 25 free spins (5 triggering icons) and every win produced during these spins will be doubled.

Our Take on Penguin Splash

Penguin Splash is a nice addition to Rabcat's range of video slots. The slot looks good, plays smoothly and includes a couple of bonus features. We’d have liked to have seen more features; but that’s just our insatiable thirst for excitement shining through. What are your thoughts?
