Theme and Symbols

We enter a room in Merlin’s Tower, with Merlin and all his important magical tools and gadgets on the reels. I don’t know what kind of music and what sort of sound effects you would expect from this theme, but if you were thinking something magical, mystical and a bit playful, then you’ll get what you ordered. This isn’t one of those slots that go really in-depth with the story, but it does come with quality graphics and animations for easy and entertaining playing.

Betting Options and Functions

All combinations start forming from the leftmost reel, and must travel throughout the five reels in one of the select 40 patterns that the paylines take. Each reel has four symbols, which means that the setup is pretty good at counting your prizes whenever matching symbols show up.

As always, this number of paylines kinda means that your bet has to be a hit higher than normal. You can go as low as 0.01 per betline, which is enough to enjoy some nice wins when those five symbol combos with 1000 times the betline win come around. 

There’s a total of ten different symbols, which gives quite a few different possibilities for different wins, even if it crowds the reels a bit.

Features

The wild symbol works as normal, with the exception that it only shows on the second, third and fourth reel.

The scatters take up the other two reels, the first and fifth, and will launch the bonus spins when one appears on both. This is where the going gets real, as you enter the bonus mode known as Infinite Free spins.

The way this works is that as long as two scatters show up on the reels, the spins keep coming and going. Quite simple really. In addition, all wilds will automatically transform into wild reels, expanding four symbols high. 

Our Take

Merlin’s Tower is a delightful slot that does a good job of a fun theme. The graphics, sounds and animations create just the sort of experience you’d expect with Merlin, with the wild magician himself featuring on the reels quite often.
