Betsoft’s Legend Of The Nile breaths some much needed fresh air into the scene. Ancient Egypt is probably one of the most common themes used in slots, and for some reason or another most of the other slots are almost the same. Theme

Symbols etched in stone fall in place along the grid. The hieroglyphs are well done and for once don’t feature Cleopatra. Winning combinations disappear through powerful animations, and to the tune of music and sound effects that create an overall tranquil scene at the shores of Nile. The game offers a large playing area, yet still manages to be beautiful in mobile devices as well. The theme couldn’t be better done, and the immersion does its job as you lose track of how many spins you’ve played.

Betting Options and Functions

The game offers a six times six grid set up, so it’s not exactly the classic reels you’re playing here. The symbols pay when they are in a cluster of four symbols or more. The more symbols are connected the higher the pay. After a winning combination is found and paid it explodes out of the reels, and new symbols drop in place. Minimum bet is 30 coins and the maximum is 150 coins. The value of coins is controlled separately and depend on your choice and denomination.

The standard symbols pay between ten and 450 times your line bet. Though to get the maximum payment you need to have a cluster of 20 or more symbols. Mid-value symbols pay between 20 and 1500 times your bet, and the high-value symbols pay between 40 and 3000 times the bet. On top of this, the special symbols pay out sums of their own.

Features

On top of the normal symbols, you have the ISIS, Anubis, and Ra. They each have their own power meters to the left of the screen, which fill up as respective symbols are gathered. The Ra symbol resets after each spin, so to get the most out of it you need to gain massive wins via exploding symbols or drop in loads of Ras at one go. If you manage to drop 20 Ra symbols on the grid you get a chance to claim the jackpot, which is usually in the tens of thousands.

The Anubis and ISIS symbols also offer free spins, though this time the meter doesn’t reset between spins or even plays. On the other hand, unlike Ra, these symbols need to come in clusters in order to come into play.

Our Take

They key to this game is patience and a bit bankroll. It should be played with a minimal bet, as the volatility is quite high. Don’t expect to win on every turn, and certainly don’t expect the bonus features to trigger all the time.
