Kingdoms Rise: Legends of Elvenstone is a new installment in the Kingdom Come series of slot releases.
This 5x3 grid and 10 pay lines video slot release keeps the progressive jackpots that made the previous titles so popular, and also brings features such as respins, multipliers and dropping Wilds.
While this series comes from the Playtech software developer, it is their subsidiary company, Rarestone Gaming that designed this particular title.
Theme
Gems of various colors, a man in armor, a dragon, a mystical woman, sword and shield, a helmet, and many other epic fantasy elements spin on the reels. Icons of characters are, in particular, beautifully drawn and colorful.
Banners on the side of the slot machine that list the available jackpots, as well as providing the map that shows all of the existing Kingdoms Rise installments are appropriately elaborate and the map itself with its animated banners, is truly well-designed.
While one might expect a blasting and bombastic music to add to the epic feel, it is quite the opposite. The faux-medieval music, while retaining the sense of grandeur with the trumpets and drums, is atypically subdued.
Betting Options and Functions
The coin value goes from 0.1 to 50 on the 10 pay lines, meaning that the betting range goes from £0.10 to £500.
The base RTP is 92.85%, which would on its own be quite bad news. However, it increases up to 96.84% when adding the game tokens. When taking the medium variance into equation, it makes for a well-balanced game.
What this title certainly isn’t lacking in, is the prpgressive jackpots. There are two smaller ones called Power Strike and Daily Strike, as well as the main progressive jackpot, called Epic, present in this title.
Gems pay the least. Two blue gems reward £50, £250 and £500, depending on whether 3, 4 or 5 land on the reel and the pink and purple ones grant £100, £250 and £750. The highest paying regular symbol is a sword on a shield, granting £250, £500, and £1,500.
Features
First, there are dragon symbols that can only appear on the first and fifth reel. If they appear in 4 or more positions, they trigger the Dragon Bonus.
This is where the tokens come into play. For 2,000 tokens the player becomes eligible to the Dragon Bonus feature. For 4,000 the prize is doubled, going up to 20 times the total bet.
The Wild Drop symbol, which looks like an orb substitutes for other symbols except the dragon.
Tokens play the role here as well, granting 6 free spins and 1 Wild Drop symbol for 800 tokens or 8 free spins with 2 Wild Drop symbols for 1,600 of them.
Three character symbols of Man, Woman, and Rock Man, besides paying the most, also work in the combination with the Wild Drop symbol.
The Rock Man appears under a Wild Drop, another Wild Drop is created. The Woman symbol would increase the Wild Drop's multiplied by 1 and the Man would move it to the top row of the next spin.
Our Take
The sense of a whole other world is ever-present with this game and is something that is not typically found in slot releases. This is the case, partly due to the branched out titles of this installment, and partly thanks to the excellent graphics and visuals.
The tokens you collect as you play is one of the more unique features as well, which adds to the sense of this title being something different from your usual video slots.
With three progressive jackpots, beautiful graphics, and some uncommon features, not to mention a very high potential prize, this is a title we can't recommend enough.
