Penguins are really fascinating creatures, they are funny-looking with their clumsy walk but extremely tough at the same time, given the cold weather and rugged landscape they have to endure. They do look very friendly, though, and it’s easy to believe that such a character would make tons of friends instantly. 

Such a friendly penguin was the inspiration for the game creators at Arrow’s Edge when they designed Kate’s Waddle, a video slot that promises to be both entertaining and rewarding. Let’s see what this game is all about! 

Theme

The reels of Kate’s Waddle are placed right on an iceberg that is floating in the ocean, with other blocks of ice visible in the background. The whole thing is animated, you can see the icebergs moving up and down with the waves of the ocean, and that looks pretty cool. 

Kate is accompanied in this adventure by her friends that are equally adept at surviving in cold weather: a polar bear, a sea lion, a whale and a seagull. They are all designed as cartoon characters and the rather silly background music is consistent with their appearance.

This slot has a huge layout with 10 reels and 10 rows, which allow 100 ways to win. This is not your typical game, though, as winning combinations can be formed all over the place. In fact, all you need to land a win is a cluster of at least 6 matching symbols anywhere on the reels.

Conclusion

Kate’s Waddle is a fun video slot from Arrow’s Edge, it doesn’t have the most exquisite graphics but the gameplay is solid and quite rewarding once you get on a nice winning streak. However, the cluster pays mechanic would have been wonderful with cascading wins, these two features should really go hand in hand.
