Your first look at Jugglenaut might bring in connotations of Insane Clown Posse, which is exactly what it sounds like for those not familiar with the band. The theme is, therefore, extremely well done. The game offers a level of immersion that is hardly ever present in slots, which alone is enough to make it worth trying, and this is before we even look at the other features present. At the core of it, you will find quite a normal slot though, with the usual reels, paylines, and special features.

Theme

A massive complex of circus tents grows in the background, and combined with the dark atmosphere this creates a bit of an infernal feeling to the game. The aforementioned Juggalos or perhaps the movie IT might well have worked as an inspiration for this slot. On the reels, the action is a bit more calm, though the symbols still offer some doubt as to the sanity of the designer. Different weapons such as axes or morning stars are mixed with crazed clowns and the usual playing cards. The game is certainly interesting, and the music and audio effects make it even more so.

Betting Options and Functions

There are quite a few buttons to click here. Luckily, they are mostly self-explanatory and give the player more choices when it comes to his or hers betting strategies. Though you cannot change any of the fifty paylines you can change the coin values and betting level. All of this serves to simply set the bet you are going to play with, which doesn’t really affect anything else than that bankroll of yours. Surprisingly the game comes with only three rows of symbols, and not so surprisingly the usual five reels. Usually, slots with more than 20 paylines have at least four rows of symbols. More wins for us!

Despite the number of paylines the game still offers high volatility. There are three playing cards and three themed symbols, with the themed ones offering the bigger wins. The total range of wins, with two to five symbols needed for a win, goes from four to one thousand times your line bet. The low-end symbols in this case merely pay back your bet, even when five symbols are on the line.

Features

The game offers a progressive jackpot, which can be won at random during any spin. As usual, it is only a worthwhile jackpot if enough players bet on the game, which so far doesn’t seem to have been the case.

If three or more scatters show up on the reels you get some free spins. The amount seems random, with three to 25 being the possible outcomes. More importantly, at the beginning of the free spins, you will be granted a random multiplier for the wins, which can go as high as fivefold. The free spins can be retriggered with more scatters.

Our Take

Jugglenaut has an extremely well-done theme, which unfortunately does not suit all tastes. Luckily, to alleviate this the game also offers extremely high wins, which combined further with fifty paylines often results in massive payouts. Not for everyone, but certainly good for a try.
