Theme

Construction is the theme of this slot, and every element of game design is in keeping with that motif. Gaming symbols include many of the items found on a job site, including orange safety cones, signs warning of men at work, hammers, spades, bricks, and mobile crane. A blonde lady in a hardhat acts as wild, doubling all wins in which she is involved while offering a top payout of 250x for five-of-a-kind; a bearded man carrying some lumber acts as a mystery symbol; and a pair of (possibly more than) friendly workers act as scatter, the gateway to free spins. A funky and understated soundtrack provides a sense of energy, while sound effects of construction noises and chatting workers add to a realistic feel.

Wazdan’s design team usually builds solid slot games, and this one is no exception (though the irony would be rich if it were!). There are 7 fixed paylines, each paying both ways. Coin value can be set from 0.01– 1.00 for a total per-spin bet adjustable from 0.10 – 10.00 times the betting currency. All bets can also be expressed in coins, if players prefer. Autoplay is available for up to 1000 spins at a time, with optional limits for wins or losses above a certain size. Quick spin is also an option for players who prefer a quicker tempo. Wazdan releases reliably excellent slots, but what often goes unnoticed is a progressive streak in their design. Jackpot Builders provides an excellent example of this by virtue of its four reels: most three-reel slots are painfully simple, usually lacking any bonus features at all. Similarly, most five-reel slots are expected to have it all: smooth and sophisticated design, several bonus features, everything players need to keep coming back for long gaming sessions. The four-reel slot is an underdeveloped category. Wazdan has explored simpler four-reel slots before, notably in Dino Reels 81, but this slot packs in almost more bonus features than it can handle.

This begins with the multi-level wins feature, which is active on every win. After the wins are paid out, all symbols involved in the win disappear in an explosion, with new gaming symbols falling into their places, which can in turn trigger more wins. This feature continues without limit and can result in multiple payouts per spin.

Plenty of additional bonuses await. Free spins are awarded whenever three or more of the scatter symbols appear on the reels – 15 or 30 free spins will be awarded. The mystery bonus is paid to players when three or more of the mystery symbols appear on the reels, awarding a cash prize of a random size. There is a “wall” bonus is paid whenever all four reels are ten up by the same gaming symbol – in addition to the triggering of all paylines, these wins receive a double multiplier. Finally and as usual, Wazdan’s design team includes a gamble feature, which can be played for up to seven rounds on any win and itself has a building theme. It’s a simple double-or-nothing feature with a dynamite twist. Literally. Players choose which of two detonators to push down – the right choice implodes a building and doubles the win size, while the wrong choice results in a short circuit and the forfeiture of the win.

Wazdan crams a phenomenal quantity and quality of bonus features into this four reel slot. Jackpot Builders is sure to appeal to all kinds of gamers… the only thing it lacks is accurate RTP information.
