GamingSoft is a refreshing company in the sense that pretty much all their games use Asian themes. This is no surprise as the company itself hails from the region. In this case, we get to visit China and the Imperial City, I think, with all the added glory and fanfare. The game offers quite a wide playfield, with a total of fifty paylines divided among the five reels. The theme might not be so familiar for western players, but that oughta be a plus when compared to all those games that come with themes we are already all too familiar with.

Theme

The lotus flowers, the temples, and the sun shining like there is no tomorrow is a pretty standard bet for games following this theme, and alas it is no different here. The graphics are, however, quite beautiful and the animations add an extra layer of entertainment on the screen. The music is something I have personally grown a bit tired of but is nevertheless well done and non-repetitive enough to keep you off the mute button. All in all the slot is quite immersive.

Betting Options and Functions

Though there are fifty paylines you have to remember that adding the fourth symbol to each of the five reels expands the playing field quite a bit. In other words, the setup is quite normal and doesn’t result in any extra wins as such. The volatility seems to be on the high end, with the jackpots raising it a bit further. The wins are of the high end, though there are also quite a few that are not worth the stake you paid for the spin.

The jackpot symbol shows up on the first three reels, and when it does so the feature itself is triggered. The player gets to spin the bonus wheel here, with the object of collecting as many similar gems as possible. Once you have three of the same symbols the respective jackpot is paid out. It’s the theme that makes this slot worth trying. Otherwise, the game offers quite a normal setup with normal wins. Definitely something that you should first try in the demo mode. All in all, the gameplay is not that much different when compared to other slots from the same developer.
