Hitman has been such a successful video game that it’s spawned multiple sequels, a feature film and a string of video slots. Microgaming’s version uses 15 paylines over five reels and offers authentic design elements supplied by Eidos (the games designer).
Hit Man Slot Theme
Dark, consistent and methodical all spring to mind when we reminisce about playing the Hitman series of games. It seems the designers had a similar thought process because the slot uses genuine graphics, a black and red palette and an arsenal of different weapons to fill out the reels.
Knifes, Dollar bills, garrotes, guns, lethal injections, sniper rifles, pistols and machine guns all appear on the reels. As does Agent 47, Insignia and 18 logos. The scatters, bonus and featured icons all animate when involved in a winning combination. For example the Hitman can be seen prepping a sniper rifle, loading a pistol and even walks away from a darkened room in a full on cut scene after a wild has been used.
Calm and calculating music is used throughout gameplay to match the ice cool demeanor of the Hitman. Various other sound effects are used to mark different icon combinations, wins and when special features are used.
Betting Options and More Functions
Players can choose to use a range of bets beginning at just 1 penny per spin. It’s refreshing to see plenty of options which stretch all the way up to $75 (or Euros/Pounds etc).
Hitman Slot Features
Agent 47 appears on the reels with his trademarked two handguns. This icon will turn into an expanding wild when it appears on the second, third or fourth reel. This will complete any possible wins by substituting for all icons apart from the bonus laptop, scatter or 18 logo.
A pick a win style game is awarded when three or more insignia scatters appear in any position on the reels. You choose one insignia to reveal an instant win which is immediately added to your coin amount.
Three to five 18 Logos will award 18 free spins with a 2x multiplier. It’s also possible to receive expanding wilds and even trigger the bonus game during the free spins.
Three or more bonus icons will trigger the ICA Mission where you must choose from five targets with varying payout ranges. Hovering over each target will read out the mission, information on the target and difficulty with the job in question. After choosing your target you are awarded an instant win, then asked to select one of five weapons for another instant win and finally asked to execute the mission. This final stage will multiply the instant win by a maximum of 6. You are then returned to the main game after your winnings are paid out.
Our Take on Hitman
The great thing is you don’t have to be a fan, or even be any good at playing the video game because this slot is so easy to use. It looks the part, has features which match the dark theme but plays as fluidly as any other Microgaming slot. It’s easy to see why players constantly rate it as 4-5 stars.
