The idea of a Haunted House was one of the things that fascinated me as a child (probably because of Scooby Doo). In all reality I still love a good halloween themed cartoon now, which is why Haunted House from Espresso Gaming stood out for me. It includes 18 game lines that boast scatters, wilds, bonus games and free spins; sounds spooktacular, doesn't it?
How to Play Haunted House
In order to choose a total bet you will need to change the coin value, coins per line and number of lines. This works slightly differently to other slots:
- Coin values are configured during the loading process but can be changed between spins too
- Coins per line can be changed in one blanket motion by clicking on the 9 or 18 button
- The number of lines are set beneath the reels
The spin button places your bet after configuring the above (auto spins are included too).
Haunted House Features Explained
Pumpkin icons are marked with a luminescent green ‘Wild’ label. These icons may replace any icon except the 10, J, Q, K and A and will multiply the created win by two in the process.
Werewolf scatters are specially because they payout in any position when 2, 3, 4 or 5 appear. These combinations pay 2x, 5x, 20x or 100x your bet respectively and are active during paid and free spins.
The haunted house bonus is awarded if three or more haunted house icons appear on the same spin. You will need to choose different windows that open to reveal bonus multipliers but you will want to avoid finding too many Grim Reaper graphics because finding three will end the game (you get 4 or 5 lives if the bonus is triggered by 4 or 5 bonus logos).
Free spins are given when 2 or more free spin logos occur on the same spin. The free spins are awarded and then play on their own.
