SYNOT Games is not big on recycling those playing card symbols from game to game, which is always a big plus. This time around we enter the world of old gods from the new continents. Theme

The vines of the jungle have long since grown over the temple, with the never-ending jungle stretching through the horizon. Make your way through it and find all sorts of treasures in these hidden and forgotten temples of civilizations long lost. A slightly threatening drum music keeps the player on his toes as he continues the adventure through the reels. The symbols are all exceedingly well fitting for the theme.

Betting Options and Functions

All forty paylines are fixed, with the symbols connecting from left to right through them. The bet is controlled via the total bet button, that gives different values between 0.20 and 50 coins per spin. The size of the bet doesn’t affect the gameplay, only the winnings.

All symbols pay with combinations of three, four, or five of a kind. The payouts seem very small until you realise they are multiples of the total bet and not bet per line. In effect, the prizes are of the higher cast. The low-level symbols pay out 0.25 to 15 times your total bet, the mid-level symbols pay 1 to 20 times your total bet, and the most valuable symbol pays out 50 times your total bet. Compared to pay per line slots the largest win is about 2000 times your line bet.

Features

The wild also works as a scatter, and when three land anywhere on the reels the free spins are awarded. Three, four, and five free spins symbols hand out 10, 15 and 30 free spins respectively. During the spins the wilds become sticky, and each one that lands on the reels also awards an extra free spin and an immediate win worth your total bet. Up to extra 20 spins can be won this way.

The game also comes with the usual gamble feature that can double any win. Simply guess the color of the card, red or black, and you will immediately win or lose. You can choose to bet only half of your win, and in addition, there is the occasional joker card that counts as either color.

Our Take

There are more than a few games with a similar theme and similar gameplay. Golden Myth excels in graphics, does a good job with music, and offers plenty of big wins. Its main attraction is the free spins, which can hand out considerable wins if you just get those wilds on the paylines often enough.
