The graphics are certainly beautiful, with some of that real shine of diamonds illuminating the screen. Betting Options and Functions

The twenty paylines are all fixed. The setup is not the standard to be found in Red Tiger Gaming slots, though it can be found in a few others as well. This is to say, the combinations are calculated from left, right, and from the middle. As long as you have three symbols connecting somewhere on the payline you are gonna cash in a win. The betting is controlled via the total stake selector, which runs between 0.20 and 60 coins.

There are eight regular symbols plus a star-shaped wild. The dearest of these is the wild, as it pays up to 600 times your line bet when five form a line. The other symbols are gems of different worth, though personally, I struggle to name them. Six of these offer wins between four and 60 times your bet, while the two more expensive ones can go all the way to 300 times the line bet.

Features

There is only one bonus feature at play here, but it is a powerful one. There’s no scatters to be found so you can forget about free spins. Instead, any symbol during any spin can turn into a wild. You will notice this feature come into play when swirling animations start forming on the reels, on top of the diamonds. You can have several of these, or just one, entirely up to your luck. When the animation stops playing the wilds are revealed, the wins are counted and a respin is awarded. The wins are truly amazing and with some luck will consist entirely out of wilds!

Our Take

There are plenty of diamond themed games out there, Starburst probably being the most famous of these. Yet Gems Gone Wild manages to make some room for itself. It offers nice wins and prizes worth seeking out. It doesn’t boast a massive amount of features and neither does it need to.
