What a splendid name and theme!

Opening up the game, I am immediately taken back to computer games of the 90s, though not due to the functionality.

It is simply due to the style that is used here: the developer RubyPlay has perfected the design approach here, even though for some, the nostalgia might mean nothing.

There are a few more paylines than normal fit into the game, which likewise means that basic paytable wins have come down a little bit.

This is compensated by the royal treasures that you can score through the special features.

Gallantry Slot Theme

Gallantry will never die, though it hasn’t been much of a thing lately. In this slot, you go back to the era of knights, princesses and adventures.

Five reels, three symbols and 30 paylines. The variance feels a bit high, and the paytable symbols don’t really compensate for this, as they only offer wins up to 90 times your line bet.

The interface is pretty decent, though this is a game perhaps best played on desktop computers.

Mobile devices function just as well, with the slot entirely cross-device optimized but the graphics are best viewed on larger screens. All the usual functions and options are available.

Special Features

First off, there are FOUR jackpots to be found in the game: mini, minor, major and grand.

These are NOT progressive, instead being tied to your bet level.

The largest of these can pay out up to 5000 times your total bet!

The bonus games are activated via scatters. The more scatters the more spins, and on top of this you are immediately paid an instant win of up to 100 times your total bet.

Landing more scatters during the feature will result in more spins, as well as an instant win of up to 10 times your total bet. Five scatters will net you 25 spins to start with, and 10 spins during the feature.

During each free spin, one of the reels is ennobled, with the exception of the first reel. This ennoblement means that the reel will contain a massive shield, working as a wild for most symbols.

You can also land further shield symbols, which are crucial for the next feature…

...having six shields (the noble shield counts as three by itself) will trigger the Winners Fortune. Each shield comes with a prize, which locks one of the jackpots. You are granted three spins, and this resets each time a new shield drops.

At the end of the feature, you win all the prizes listed on the shields! To get the grand jackpot you have to fill all symbol positions with shields. That will be hard, but also worth it!

Our Take

All in all, this RubyPlay slot is surprisingly versatile. The basic wins, as we have mentioned a few times now, are quite small, but the special features will have you at the edge of the seat.
