Fruit Fiesta

Wazdan’s Fruit Fiesta mixes the rather strange subjects of vegetables and Mexican culture. The latter being mostly about stereotypes, but then what isn’t in the world of slots. That aside, the game seems to offer a nice mix of good production qualities, such as plenty of animations, combined with adjustable volatility. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t really have any special features.

Theme

The theme is more Mexican than anything else, the vegetables simply playing the role they were given. You can hear the familiar mariachi music in the background, with the animated characters doing their part to add to the audio atmosphere. The graphics are excellent, with the sole exception of symbol background colours that are too simplistic when compared to the rest of the slot. The animations are plentiful and top-notch.

Betting Options and Functions

Betting is very simple, just choose how many coins are bet per line and you’re set to go. There are twenty paylines here, and a very low level of bets, ranging between 0.20 and 10 coins per spin. Quite welcome change to all those slots with the possibility of betting hundreds of coins, something that most people will never do.

There’s a host of other options here as well. You can mute the sounds, set turbo mode on for faster spins, use full screen or even double screen, and use spacebar to roll the reels. Pretty much everything you’d want in a slot. The wins here run on quite a low scale. Your basic symbols will only net a handful of coins. Three symbols of anything goes between 10 and 20 times your line bet. Five symbols go between 30 and 125 times the line bet.

Now, the main wins come from the wild and the scatter. The first one pays up 2000 times the line bet with five symbols, whereas the latter pays up to 500 times the total bet. This means that with a bet of 10 coins per spin you can land up to 5000 coins from five scatters. The main win comes when all symbol positions are filled with wilds.

Features

The only special feature you will find in this game is the ability to change volatility. Now, the thing is though that this feature is available in pretty much all the more modern Wazdan slots. Whether it’s Magic Stars 3 or Dracula's Castle the feature works the same.

If you want to win often but in smaller amounts go for the low volatility. If you want to get a mix of medium and small wins with the occasional big hit go for medium volatility. If you want to get those get-rich-quick spins go for high volatility. This is something that is unique to Wazdan slots, at least for the moment.

Our Take

The game lacks depth due to special features missing, but that doesn’t mean there wouldn’t be big wins to be had here. As you can change the volatility at will and combined it with low betting you can have quite a roll with this slot. The theme works quite well, which means that this slot is worth trying.
