Enchanting Spells slot enchants the player immediately with its peculiar reel setup. With five reels and six rows, you already have an unusual setup but the middles reels divided in two makes this even more interesting. Theme

An animated candle flickers its light in the background, while an enchantress is ready to cast her spell on the sidelines. The reels fill with magical icons, wizards, mirrors, wands and traditional ten to ace symbols customized to fit the theme. Choosing 2D graphics in a time of 3D productions might seem like an unnecessary retrograde move but in this case, they are very fitting and do their purpose. The music functions much the same: definitely not an attention stealer nor detractor to the game in general. Much of the effort in this game has been directed to the gameplay itself.

Betting Options and Functions

Sixty pay lines with a chance to set a per line bet ranging from 0.01 credits to full 2 credits per line give the player enough leeway to use low and high bets alike. Due to the way the game is set up, with reels 2,3 and 4 divided in two, you are actually betting only on 40 paylines while reaping the benefits of sixty lines. Can’t complain about that, can we?

The symbols are roughly divided into three categories with the regular card values paying the least. Five aces in a row will only net you 150 credits. The assorted magical items about double these values, whereas the enchantress with her magic wand and spellbook pay out a maximum of one thousand credits. The maximum wins come from wilds and scatter, the latter rising all the way to 6000 credits, though this requires eight symbols instead of the usual five.

Features

On reels 1 and 8 you can get symbols stack up to six high, whereas on other reels you are limited to three. Only themed symbols can be stacked, meaning the ten to ace values don’t feature on the screen too often. If the wizard comes fully stacked on either reel one or eight he will turn all spell books into wilds. These substitute for everything except the scatter.

Scatters launch the main bonus feature. Three to eight symbols will award anywhere from eight to 30 free spins. Before these are launched you get to peer into one of three crystal balls and reveal one of three possible enchantments for the free spins.

Random multiplier free spins offer magnificent wins of up to 180 000 coins. This requires the quadruple multiplier to be selected, though double and triple wins are certainly welcomed as well.

Guaranteed Wizard free spins have the high wizard frozen on the eight-reel, turning all spell books into wilds on every spin. Wizards in all reels is the third feature, and as the name says the wild can appear on every reel instead of just the usual first and eight.

This is not necessarily a slot that aims to impress with graphics or music. It does so instead of offering massive chances to win during free spins as well as with the unusual reel structure. Perhaps not a game for everyone, but you certainly won't know until you try!
