One of the world's brightest minds has returned with scientific proof that there are wins to be had in slot games. This time he is not talking about the theory of relativity though, but about breakthroughs made before him by the likes of Bell, Newton, and Darwin. Plenty of fun to be had here with a multitude of features ranging from free spins to multipliers, and gamble features.
Theme
What opens up upon launching the game seems like a classroom, set in some sort of dimensional facility. The reels are set up the normal way, with five reels in three rows. Upon them, this genius has collected the most important scientific symbols of the past century. The style is a bit cartoonish, with added animations to amuse and entertain the player.
Betting Options and Functions
There are twenty paylines, all fixed. One coin or credit is bet on each line, with the player controlling the value of the coins through a simple total stake selector. The size of the stake doesn’t affect your winning chances or the return to the player.
Returns are not astronomical here, meaning that the game offers medium variance. Three to five symbols are needed, and they need to connect from left to right to land a prize. The low-value symbols are presented with the usual ten to ace card ranks, and they pay between 0.2 and 6 times your total stake. These might seem a bit low, but they are indeed in relation to the total stake, and not bet per line. The themed symbols, that is the atom, chemicals, DNA strands and the wild pay between 0.8 and 20 times your total stake.
Features
There are three main features and all come with free spins of some sort. The features are named after other famous scientists, and they offer plenty of variation. All of the features are launched via the same method: landing three bonus symbols. You will immediately get a win worth double your total stake, after which Einstein will choose one of the features at random.
During Newton’s free spins apples fall on the reels and turn into random wilds. In theory, the game will go on forever like this, though in reality, the game will end when three apples have landed on Einstein’s head instead of the reels.
Bell’s multiplied free spins offers a round of ten free spins. After each win Bell himself gives Einstein a call, telling him which multiplier to use for each win. These can rise up to nine times the original win.
When Edison gets his turn to play out as a bonus feature you are awarded eight free spins. This time you’ll have a light bulb appearing on the reels at random, turning selected symbols into wilds all over the reels. No guaranteed wins, but they do tend to come out in pretty big numbers during this feature.
Our Take
At the time of writing this review, Reflex Gaming has done an exclusive deal with William Hill, meaning that the slot is not likely to be available anywhere else for quite some time. If you do run into it giving a few spins is suggested. The combination of free spins, multipliers, and nice animations forms up into a nice game. The wins being paid out in relation to total stake is a nice feature as well.
