Ganapati is not, as of yet, a very famous game developer. Anyone who tries their games will, without a doubt, notice the distinctive style. That is to say, Ganapati is a Japanese developer, so expect a lot of anime on the screen. That’s not the only speciality you are going to run into in this game. At the core is a very basic slot, but with some interesting developments. Check it out.
Theme
The setting will remind you of an anime show if those are familiar to you. The background here is of open blue skies, probably because that is where the dragons tend to be. Remaining symbols cover the playing card ranks, as well as some characters that seem to be part of the story. There is music and audio, but it is perhaps themed a bit too far; more at home on a cartoon than in a game. Beyond the peculiar art style, the theme doesn’t play a big role.
Betting Options and Functions
Betting is done by simply selecting the desired total per spin. Possible values run from 0.10 coins all the way to 30 coins. There are a total of five reels with five rows. The game utilises the cascading system, which means that once symbols form a winning combination they will pay out and then disappear to be replaced with new symbols. There are a total of 40 paylines, though the game design should have made a better job of showing where they are exactly.
Wins are granted from three to five symbols combinations. Though there are a total of 25 symbols on the screen on each spin there are also 15 individual symbols, which means that volatility is once again high. Most of the symbols offer low-value wins that don’t even even out the bet. Halfway through you start getting some wins to cover the whole bet, and with the top symbols you can really rake in the money. The main win is 500 times your bet
Features
There are three gauges, blue, yellow and red, that fill in a bit on every spin. As these meters fill out they launch some extra features. The blue meter will grant a simple multiplier on the next win, so better hope it's big on both counts. The red meter awards a simple repeater, or respin on the next win. Once the yellow meter fills in you start getting into the proper bonuses.
Once enough wins have accumulated the yellow meter allows the player to start the feature spin. During this sticky wilds, expanding wilds, and even dragon fights are a possibility. The latter offers some chances to have an actual effect, as you must choose when to guard and when to attack the three dragons.
Our Take
The game is certainly an odd one, mostly because I haven’t really run into Japanese slot companies before. After a few spins the game starts to grow on you, and when the wins start coming you will really enjoy the gameplay. There were a few unfortunate bugs I faced with the game, mostly to do with text that disappeared. These will hopefully be ironed out soon enough.
