Crystal Magic

The world of magic is quite similar to what happens in a video slot, there are all sorts of symbols which have great powers attributed to them just as some icons in a game can trigger exciting features and great wins. 

The game creators at AGS Interactive have been inspired by the fortune tellers when designing Crystal Magic, a slot that tries to put together a winning spell. It doesn’t matter whether you believe in magic or not, you just have to keep your eyes on the jackpots! 

Theme

The screen is divided into two sections: on the left we see a beautiful fortune teller which concentrates on a shining and huge diamond, while on the right we have the actual reels which have a plain black background. 

On the left side of the screen you can also see the five jackpots that are up for grabs in this game. Unfortunately there is no background music to be heard, while the sound effects have been taken from land-based slot machines. 

That doesn’t really help with creating an immersive gameplay, but it should be fine if you’re only interested in the jackpots. 

Betting Options and Functions

There are 5 reels and 4 rows in this slot, with 50 fixed paylines. Winning combinations can only be formed starting with the leftmost reel, and you will need at least three matching symbols on adjacent reels to get a prize. 

The minimum bet is rather high compared to other products, it’s 50 cents per spin, while the high rollers can go up to 100 dollars. This is a high-volatility title, with a theoretical return to player percentage of 95.95%. 

Features

The gameplay is not impressive, the reels seem to be spinning forever before coming to a halt and revealing the outcome. This can make some players quit the game, but my advice would be to wait until you trigger a special feature, that can really change the atmosphere! 

The Free Spins feature can be triggered whenever you have a combination of five matching symbols plus a Wild on reel five. You will get 6 free rolls, which will see the triggering symbols become golden and Wild until the end of the round. 

Whenever you get three Scatter symbols on screen you will trigger the Hold & Spin Jackpot feature, which can lead you to one of the five jackpots. This feature will assign each of the five reels to one of the jackpots, and if you fill the whole reel with diamonds the respective jackpot will be yours! 

However, even if you don’t get the jackpot you will still receive a significant prize at the end of this feature as every Scatter symbol will have a monetary value attached. 

Conclusion

Crystal Magic is a rather disappointing video slot from Las Vegas company AGS Interactive, it was designed to be played in land-based casinos and the developers don’t seem to have made much of an effort when converting it for the online world. 

However, if you do like a high-volatility game with jackpots up for grabs, then this title is surely worth a try.
