So many online games with the ancient Egypt theme exist and Casino Technology attempted to put a spin to it and make something different. They created a video slot called Cat Queen. Did they manage to pull it off or is this yet another release that will bore you to death?

Theme

The theme of this game is the Egypt civilization and everything that was characteristic about it! In the background, there are some books, probably ready to uncover the mysteries we know little about. In the meantime, the reels have that golden sandy color and they remind us of the terrain in that country.

The symbols are stylish and you can encounter numerous gods and rulers from the Egypt civilization as well as the other symbol such as a beetle, an eye, a bird and pyramids. Although the icons have that rusty appearance, the choice of colors makes them all look similar.

The design will not sweep you off your feet, but what happens with the music? The music is quite catchy and it has a fast pace. Most of you would enjoy it!

Betting Options and Other Functions

This release contains four rows and five reels while the maximum number of paylines is 40. Luckily, they can be adjusted, so you can design the game according to your liking and focus on several paylines instead.

Setting your bet is quite simple. All you have to do is click on plus and minus signs in the “Line Bet” column. The minimum amount you can wager is 0.01, while the maximum is 800 with all lines included! To get the reels going, click on the red “Spin” button in the right corner.

In the bonus section, this game is not that rich. It appears that the developer forgot to transfer the wealth of Egypt into this game with everything else. Only two features are included:

• Wild – It is in charge of acting as the other icons in order to complete a winning combination. Whenever that is possible, a wild will replace all of the other symbols except the pyramid. Our cat queen from the title actually has this role.

• Free Games – The scatter symbol unlocks free games and to trigger the bonus feature at least three scatters need to appear on the reels. Although there isn’t anything specific here that will help you increase your winnings, the free round can be retriggered!

Our Take on Cat Queen

Unfortunately, Cat Queen is just another Egypt-themed video slot. It is a good game, mind you, but there is nothing to lift it above the other similar releases by other developers such as Crown of Egypt. Some features are missing, but the double option fills that spot. You will often have a chance to increase your wins because there is a large number of paylines.
