Candy Dreams slot is quite candid, in the sense that it is pretty much a copy of all those cluster-based mobile games that were super popular once upon a time. Theme

In the background, an endless land of candy spreads through the cloudy dreamscape. Though the background graphics got more than enough recognizable candy, the symbols themselves don’t really look all that sugary. The theme is topped off with some sweet tunes, which are nothing too spectacular but do add a bit to the atmosphere. All in all, the theme is a bit bland.

Betting Options and Functions

The game uses the cluster-pay system, which has lately become quite popular, and pretty much the only other options besides reels and paylines when it comes to slots. As long as five or more matching symbols show up in adjacent positions you are going to land a payout. The screen is made of seven times seven grid, so there’s plenty of room for symbols and symbol combinations.

As there are no paylines the betting is quite easy. Just choose the number of coins, and then the value of the coins. The range is similar to what you find in most other slots: fitting for all wallets. The top wins are quite spectacular, with the main win being 5000 times the bet. This requires fifteen matching symbols, so most of the time you are going to be landing the smaller wins.

Features

On the left-hand side of the screen, you have what is called a sweet pattern. If a winning combination lands on the pattern the Wheel of Fortune activates. There are six sectors which result in different bonuses, such as cash wins, winning symbols becoming wilds, random wilds showing up, symbols changing and so forth.

The cluster pays also results in all symbols partaking in a winning combination will be removed from the screen and new ones will fall in place. Besides these two features, there is not much extra here. However, the Wheel of Fortune, when activated, does result in some quite drastic changes on the playfield. All in all, though, this just means that the variance is quite high and unforgiving. Bet accordingly.

Our Take

Evoplay Entertainment has jumped on the bandwagon with this product, and unfortunately, it shows a bit. There is not much original here, even if the mechanics are something you don’t often see in slots. That said, as a cluster-based game, this one is pretty good. If you are into chasing big wins you should give this slot a spin or two.
