Theme

Brave Mongoose boasts a charming design that is heavily influenced by Disney’s classic Aladdin. The five reels are set before a city in the Arabian desert, with towers and minarets in the distance and pillars with bronze serpents on either side. Gaming symbols include the brave and adorable mongoose that gives this game its name, a plucky boy, what appears to be a magic lamp, a peacock spreading his plumage wide, an older snake charmer playing his flute, and a smiling elephant, as well as the playing card values ace through ten. At the center of it all is the cobra scatter symbol.

The soundtrack features the modalities of the near East, with hand drums accompanying the spinning wheels.

Though this game offers no wild symbol, the wild function is provided by two separate re-spin features within base play. One of these occurs when the mongoose and cobra appear on the same set of reels, and the other is triggered by the boy and cobra appearing together. In each case, the cobra does battle with the other symbol. Where the mongoose is concerned, all winning mongoose symbols become sticky wilds, one re-spin is awarded, and a win multiplier between 3x and 9x is applied to any subsequent win. Similarly, all winning boy symbols become sticky wilds in the boy respin feature – instead of win multipliers, though, all lines pay both ways. Both can be triggered simultaneously, but only in base play.

Additionally, three cobra symbols trigger the free spin feature, which is easily this game’s largest and most lucrative feature. During the 15 free spins awarded, all lines pay in both direction, effectively doubling players chances of winning. What’s more, all winning boy or mongoose symbols become sticky wilds throughout the feature.
