Thanks to Spinmatic, players now have a chance to experience gaming from the point of view of the mighty casino owner. Lit up in neon, this 3x1 mini-slot packs a lot of style into it’s pint-sized structure, but not much substance: there are no bonus features, and RTP is disappointing.
Theme
The streets of Las Vegas have never looked so clean as they do in this title: bright lights extend up and down the streets, with saloons and betting parlors on every corner at either side of the reels. Gaming symbols include a quartet of slick-looking Vegas bosses, each with his own kind of swagger, with dice, cards, and casino chips acting as lower-value symbols. A neon sign bearing the game’s title acts wild, adding a double multiplier to wins and offering this game’s top payout at 1200x, while a golden crown acts as scatter. The piano bar-style soundtrack adds a touch of class, reminiscent of the Rat Pack’s glory days in Sin City, Nevada.
Betting Options and Functions
The house always wins in casino play, but the same can’t be said for the bosses in this title: Sfpinmatic’s gaming details aren’t entirely up to par. There is only one payline, paying from left to right, although scatter symbols pay in any position. Bet level is set simply from 0.01–3.00 times the betting currency per spin. Autoplay is available for up to 100 spins, or without limit, with optional loss limits available on a separate screen. Player options, payline information, game rules, and more are available via an expanding menu at the upper right corner of the game screen. The overall theoretical return to player ratio is well below-average at 93.5%.
Features
Spinmatic hasn’t included bonuses in this title. Though it’s not entirely uncommon for mini-slots to lack extra features, the one-dimensionality of this slot is especially disheartening in light of its glamorous theme. Though scatter symbols do pay in any positions, and wild symbols offer the chances for major payouts, the lack of bonuses combines with low RTP is essentially a death sentence.
Our Take
It’s a shame that the Spinmatic design team spent so much work attending to the impressive visuals Boss Vegas, so little attention on its gameplay fundamentals. Aside from the briefest of visits, there’s not much here worth players’ time.
