Ah, Oktoberfest... an annual German festival every beer lover holds in high regard. The 6 rows and 6 reels and 50 betways slot release called Bier Haus Oktoberfest takes you in the heart of this Munich beer event.

Unfortunately, it was canceled in 2020, but the developers from the iGaming software company WMS took it upon themselves to at least deliver the atmosphere of the festival. 

Theme

Well, the atmosphere is certainly there. The background is beautifully designed and animated, depicting the large festive tent, while the waitress in traditional Bavarian clothes tends the bar.

Heidi, as the waitress is called, becomes much more lovely once you realize that she is the one that grants Wilds, via another superb animation of the beer tap opening and filling the reel.

The brown wood of the slot machine combines well with the greens, blues, and the golden color of the freshly poured beer.

The base uplifting music played on the accordion can be heard under the lively murmur of the people who are more than obviously having a good time. When the reels are spun the music becomes much more louder.

Bet ranges from a minimum of $0.18 to a maximum of $180. When taking into account the extra spins and Wilds, the potential reward goes up to $250,000.

Features

There are not one, not two, but three types of Wilds available. All come on form of, naturally beer, but there is a classic Wild Beer, a Persisting Wild and aforementioned Wild Reel that fills the entire reel with the drink, creating the entire reel into the Wild symbol.

Also, three differently-colored Heidi symbols act as Scatters. Green and Purple Heidi appear on all reels, except that Purple Heidi during the bonus trigger transforms into a Persisting Wild symbol, which is another name for a sticky Wild in this title.

Red Heidi is the most rare one, appearing only on the fourth reel and triggering the Heidi’s Wheel feature. This feature is your typical lucky wheel awarding one of some pretty nice jackpots.

Regular extra spins feature is triggered when 5 or more Heidi Scatters appear on the reels.

Our Take

Very charming and very beautifully designed, Bier Haus Oktoberfest doesn't just achieve a lot in the thematic sense, but also brings a fun, entertaining, and potentially, more than reasonably rewarding slot release.
