Ave, Caesar, morituri te salutant…

… is a known Latin phrase meaning “Hail, Caesar, those who are about to die salute you” and we salute this wonderfully animated imperial game which delivers marvellous enjoyment and huge potential wins.

Theme

The theme of this game is the ancient Roman Empire, in all its glitz and glory. The grid is located in a typical column surrounded Roman forum with the sounds of chattering and horseshoes stepping on marble. 

The symbols and features relate to both true and fictional stories about Roman conquerers and their enemies, including Gauls and Carthaginians with their elephants. Interesting for the modern viewer, ancient Rome and its riches inspire many video slot games and Ave, Caesar is definitely one with an excellent portrayal of this historic atmosphere.

Features

Hannibal’s Heroes - If Hannibal appears and calls his army of elephants, one or more columns full of wild symbols will be generated, along with potential additional wilds. 

The Gaul - If a Gaul appears to call his village, his comrades may throw stones which will impact any symbol on the reels by making it turn and become a “mystery” (which will all turn into the same symbol). A multiplier is sometimes granted for this play.

Ave Caesar - If Caesar appears on the screen, he will demand some winnings. He offers the player to choose from 6 mystery options, including 5 of a kind, Big Win and each one of the four bonus games available.

Centurion Maximus - If the Centurion appears and calls his troops, the legionaries will generate a “Maximus” mystery symbol - a super symbol of 2x2 or 3x3 of any symbol in the paytable.

Bonus Triggering - All the bonus rounds are triggered when 3 bonus symbols appear on reels 1, 3 and 5. The bonus symbol at the 5th reel will determine which bonus game is granted:

• Gamble Game - it is active when a bonus game is granted - Caesar offers the chance to improve the current bonus round by letting one of his archers aim to one of 4 targets (one for each bonus game). The player can choose between the given bonus game (collect) or any of the higher ones. 
• Caesar’s Conquests - Caesar goes to camp tents to be conquered by nice girls. The player chooses from 3 tents, trying to find a pretty girl for Caesar. The bonus is active until Ceasar stops having fun with pretty girls.
• The Roman Empire - Over an old European map, the player can choose a new territory for the Roman Empire to conquer, earning prizes. 
• The Glory of Rome Extra Spins Bonus - The player gets 10 free spins and enters the Bonus. Wild Symbols will be temporary sticky wilds. 

Druid Free Spins Bonus - A druid appears with his cauldron and enables one of these features:

• Wilds turn into doubling wilds
• I and II symbols become Royal Wilds
• Wilds turn to Sticky Wilds
• Moving wild reel covers a random reel in each spin

Ave Jackpot - randomly triggered progressive jackpot. The higher the bet, the bigger the chances to win.
