Kings may not be the most powerful cards in a deck, but they are certainly valuable. Novomatic chose to recreate a topic that is perhaps the most common one together with fruits and they designed a video slot called 4 Reel Kings. Is this just another poor attempt to make something special out of the overused topic or the developer stepped up and managed to make this game entertaining?

Theme

While the title is named after kings, kings are not the only ones involved in the game. The theme is simple – a card deck. The background is blue with the repeating emblem.

The symbols that are used range from 10 to K, but you will also find a bag of gold, the jester hat, lucky sevens, which appear in bonus games only, cherries and a plum.

The background music doesn’t exist, but the sounds do when you press “Start” as well as when the reels are active and during the winning combination as well! These are traditional sounds you will hear in many slots.

Betting Options and Other Functions

This release is somewhat unusual. Even though it features the classic symbols, there are 4 sets of reels and each of them has a 5x3 layout with 20 fixed paylines!
