Spin Games seems to have made a habit of building games that look forgettable on the surface, yet contain extraordinary elements. This is the case in 25 Diamonds, a vintage slot where wild symbols add 5x and 25x multipliers to winning combinations en route to a very well-paying game. Paltry graphics and uninspired design should not necessarily drive players away here, as there are diamonds in the rough.

Theme

This title has a strong vintage streak, invoking many of the oldest elements in slot gaming. Gaming symbols include a veritable grocery of classic slot icons: two varieties cherries (this must be the designer’s favorite fruit), strawberries, plums, green apples, watermelons, pears, and oranges. The titular diamond acts as wild, appearing only on reels two and four, but this symbol packs quite a punch: winds in which one such symbol is involved receive a 5x multiplier, and wins involving two receive a whopping 25x multiplier. The reels are set against a simple background of black fading down into purple, with 1990’s-style sound design adding to the retro feel.

A simple slot only works if every detail is looked after to the most extreme level of detail. Fortunately for players, the Spin Games team is up to the challenge. This is a simpler game, but no less worthy of consideration, as it offers payouts and RTP equal to or greater than much of the flashier competition. It may be hard for players to remain entertained in this setting, although the ready availability of 25x win multipliers is nothing to sneeze at.
