Delano Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay opened on the south end of the Strip in May 2014 as the replacement for THEhotel. The location underwent millions in renovations before opening its doors. The vibe is tranquil with a spa feel from the entrance all the way up to your room. There isn’t much in terms of dining options but you are in the right place for entertainment being part of Mandalay Bay. Its convenient location puts guests in a great spot to explore Las Vegas and its casinos. By the way, this hotel does not have its own casino.

There is no casino here but guests are attached to Mandalay Bay’s casino which features a 135,000 square foot gaming floor with all your favorite games from Blackjack to Slots, Table Games and Video Poker.

Hotel/Accommodations

Delano Las Vegas offers suites only. Choose from a range of options including Strip and panoramic views. All rooms are luxurious with an all-white décor. Some may say it has a cold sterile feel while others appreciate the elegance. It’s definitely a matter of personal preference. In room amenities include room service, Wi-Fi, mini bar and so much more. The pool opening is scheduled for 2015 but in the meantime, Delano guests have access to Mandalay Bay Beach, considered one of the best pool areas in Las Vegas. The man-made beach sits on 11 acres and offers exclusive cabanas, villas, lounges and more.

Dining

Dining in this hotel is casual with two place to grab a meal including Della’s Kitchen and Mix at Delano. Della’s Kitchen serves breakfast and lunch only with hours from 6:30am to 2pm. Reservations are accepted for parties of 12 or more. The menu includes oatmeal, eggs, burgers, paninis, salads and more. You’ll definitely pay a bit more for your oatmeal here than at home. Mix at Delano is the only option for dinner. The décor is all white so be careful not to spill that glass of red wine. Mix hours: Sunday to Thursday 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Friday & Sunday 6:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Entertainment/Nightlife

Delano has bars and lounges to enjoy cocktails but the real Las Vegas entertainment is next door at Mandalay Bay. Catch Cirque du Soleil, nightclubs and more.
